County approves CR 720 highway resurfacing

LABELLE – The Hendry County Commission unanimously approved the following consent agenda items during its April 23 meeting:

PLUS (Port LaBelle Utility System) – Amend and extend the contract for sludge hauling services for the Port LaBelle Utility System with Karle Enviro[1]Organic Recycling, Inc. The contract amendment is to increase the unit rate from $0.14 per 1,000 gallons of sludge to $0.16 per 1,000 gallons for the remainder of the contract through Sept. 28, 2024.

Road & Bridge – Small County Road Assistance Program (SCRAP) state-funded grant agreement for the resurfacing of CR 720 from US 27 to the Glades County Line.

Road & Bridge/PLUS – Purchase of two Scag Turf Tiger II 52” mowers at a cost of $32,998.

Road & Bridge/PLUS – Purchase of a compact vertical Mast Light Tower from Kelly Tractor Co. at a  cost of $12,850.

Transit – Coordination contract between the community transportation coordinator and Hope Hospice and Community Services, Inc.

Coordination Contract between Community Transportation Coordinator and Lighthouse of Southwest Florida, Inc.
