Hendry County Waste Amnesty Week planned for Aug. 14-19

HENDRY COUNTY — Hendry County Waste Management in conjunction with the city of LaBelle and the city of Clewiston, will be hosting Waste Management Amnesty Week for Hendry County residents from Monday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the following locations:

• Clewiston Transfer Station, 1350 Olympia Ave.

• LaBelle Transfer Station, 1280 Forestry Division Road

Residents will be asked to provide a valid driver’s license to ensure they reside in Hendry County.

No commercial waste will be accepted.

Waste will be restricted to two loads or two tons.

Accepted Waste

• Yard Waste: No single branch or limb larger than 4 feet long and 4 inches in diameter

• Construction Debris: Lumber, shingles, drywall, glass, tiles, wire, etc.

• White Goods, Washers, stoves, water heaters, etc.

• Furniture: Sofas, mattresses, chairs, etc.

• Tires: Tires without rims (Limited to one to four tires).
