LABELLE -- Congratulations to Seniors Joel Garcia, Hector Zuniga, Ivan Villa-Martinez and Sophomore Maurice McClain Jr. for becoming Class 2A State Qualifiers for Boys Weightlifting.

On April 8. LaBelle High Schools (LHS) Boys Weightlifting traveled to Charlotte High School to compete in 2A Region 4 Championship.

LaBelle finished in fifth place out of eighteen schools in attendance, six lifters finished with individual medals in there weight class.

In the 139 weight class Joel Garcia too fourth place. In the  154 weight class Hector Zuniga took fourth place In the 183 weight class Maurice McClain Jr. took third place and Johnathan Munson sixth place. In the 199 weight class Ivan Villa-Martinez took fourth place.  Champ Thompson placed fifth in the 219 weight class.

Class 2A State Finals will take place at Port St. Joe High School on April 24.
