LABELLE -- On March 15 Lt. Bonnie Weaver was recognized for her 20 years of dedicated service to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Weaver originally began her career in law enforcement as an Auxiliary Deputy with the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, after graduating from the Southwest Florida Public Safety Academy in 1998.
She was hired as a full-time employee in February, 2003 in the capacity of a dispatcher.
In 2005 Lt. Weaver graduated from the Southwest Florida Public Safety Academy as a certified law enforcement officer, assigned to the Civil/Warrants Division.
While assigned to this unit she also worked in the courthouse as a bailiff and established the Sex Offender Registry with the Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Weaver has taken on several responsibilities and has risen thru the ranks to the position of lieutenant, currently overseeing the direct daily operations of the Civil/Warrants/Sex Offender Registry Division and Bailiffs.
Aside from this, she teaches new recruits, oversees our law enforcement reporting system as well as works closely with our Records unit – and that’s just to name a few of the many things she does.
She is one of the many dedicated and loyal employees of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office that continue to serve our community without hesitation.
