MIAMI -- The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Red Flag Warning for Glades, Hendry, interior Collier, Mainland Monroe, and interior Miami-Dade counties.
The Red Flag Warning is in effect from 8 a.m. Friday (May 21) morning to 2 a.m. EDT Saturday (May 22).
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
