HENDRY COUNTY — Hendry County’s contractor, EHC, Inc., will be conducting roadway construction services on County Road 833 from SR80 south to the Powerline Grade and on County Road 846 from CR833 westward to the Collier County Line.
The project includes drainage pipe removal and installation, guardrail removal and installation, installation of signing and pavement markings on both roads, and milling and resurfacing on roadway portions of CR846.
The speed limit will be reduced through the project area.
Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the project and allow extra time for their commute.
Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.
The project is expected to have a completion time of approximately three hundred thirty (330) days to three hundred sixty (360) days.
Construction operations will occur during weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening work hours will vary during milling and resurfacing operations.
Construction started Jan. 31. Construction is projected to end Jan. 26, 2023.
The project is 100% funded under the Florida Department of Transportation Local Agency Program federal grant in the amount of $4,886,302.36.
