The First Annual Rentz Law Firm Cornhole BOSS Season is underway! Twelve teams will be competing for the BOSS Cup at all LDRC Downtown Live events this year in… you guessed it, CORNHOLE. Each team will play two matches per Downtown Live event. The teams will then be placed into an elimination bracket for the End of Season Tournament. The winners will take home the Rentz Law Firm Cornhole BOSS Cup and bragging rights.

There are plenty of familiar faces making up these twelve teams, as well as a number of out-of-towners and snowbirds. After month one of the season, a father-son tandem who live in Lake Placid, the Tigers, is tied in first place. Tied with two bag-tossing snowbird grannies who did not know each other until they met in a local RV park. They are Team DaLean, a portmanteau of their names Dawn and Arlean. These two teams will actually be facing off at the next Downtown Live on January 3.

This league gives LaBelle and area residents the ability to compete in a league similar to those in larger cities, without traveling out of town. The best news is that this inaugural season generated $480 to help LDRC in their efforts to revitalize our beautiful downtown.

Everybody is encouraged to come cheer on the teams as they compete. Matches start at 7 p.m. and end by 9 p.m.
