Posted

LABELLE – Beginning Monday, July 26, Hendry County’s contractor, Community Asphalt Corp., will be conducting road work and construction services on the west end of Fort Denaud Road from State Road 80 to Fort Denaud Bridge Way in LaBelle.

The road work includes milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway.

Operations will require the road to be temporarily closed with local traffic permitted only. Visual message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to detour traffic to S.R. 80 and Huggets Road. Flagmen will be present to help direct traffic.

The speed limit will be reduced through the project area.

Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the road work operations and allow extra time for their commute.

Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.

The work is expected to have a completion time of approximately five days.

Road work operations will occur throughout the week, beginning on Monday, July 26 to Friday July 30, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify of any changes.

Residents or motorists with any questions or concerns can contact the Hendry County Engineering Department at 863-675-5222.
