Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center August Events

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Agri Civic Center located at 4601 State Road 710 will hold the following events during the month of August:

Southern Most Junior Calf Roping & 4D Barrel Race — Thursday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — 4D Barrel Race on Thursday night. Goat tying, team roping, steer wrestling and roping on Friday, breakaway and tie down roping Saturday and Sunday. The competition is a qualifier for the Junior National Finals Rodeo, and The All American Rodeo Finals.

David A. Daniel Foundation 2023 Cattle Battle Livestock Show — Friday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. — Youth livestock exhibitors from all over the Southeast will compete in a jackpot livestock show series. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open.

Treasure Coast Food Bank — Friday, Aug. 25 from 8-10 a.m. — 4601 State Road 710 East entrance only.

Florida Junior High School Rodeo Association, Friday, Aug. 25 through Sunday, Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. — Youth competitors ages 5 to 14 from all over Florida compete in amateur rodeo events. Come out and support the young cowboys and cowgirls and watch the action. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open.
