MOORE HAVEN- The Moore Haven Terriers are headed to Naples tonight to take on the First Baptist Academy Lions in the regional final.

The Terriers secured their ticket to the regional final after upsetting the Community School of Naples Seahawks in the regional semifinal 28-14 on Nov. 17.

Going into the second half against CSN Moore Haven was up 8-0. But on the Terriers’ first drive in the third quarter sophomore Daquon Adderley broke free for a 60-yard touchdown to put his team up two scores.

Moore Haven racked up over 300 yards on the ground against the Seahawks. Adderley led the team with 161 yards rushing, while senior Zailin Jackson rushed for 128 yards. Sophomore Truvonta Moody had two interceptions for the Terriers on defense.

Adderley also made his presence known on the defense as well, racking up 14 tackles in the game, including four sacks and an interception.

Moore Haven now moves on up to the regional final where they’ll face the top-ranked First Baptist Academy Lions. The Lions are currently on a six-game win streak and beat Evangelical Christian 50-27 in their playoff match last week.

The winner of the regional final between the Terriers and Lions advances to the state semifinal.

Moore Haven and Evangelical Christian kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 24.
