ORLANDO -- Glades Central Community High School for many years has been known for its powerhouse and elite football players. Glades Central has produced some of the world’s finest students, with doctors, lawyers, chancellors, mayors, actors, educators, engineers and entrepreneurs amongst those professional football players.
The last weekend in July some of those astonishing members of Glades Central Community High School, including Melanie Bolden-Morris (GCHS 1989 graduate and current principal) united for their fourth consecutive year at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, for what is now known as the Raider Roundup.
Alumni from 1976-1993 integrate the last weekend in July for a joyous and memorable event. This is also an opportunity to recognize notable graduates, as well as provide important issues that is taking place in the Glades. The goal is to encourage graduates to continuously support their alma mater as well as their community.
Featured moments included the bowling tournament, a t-shirt contest and a western theme event. Over 800 alumni attended the weekend.
