What’s going on at the Agri-Civic Center? Another month full of your favorite equine events! The Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center, 4601 State Road 710, will be hosting everything from reining and cutting to jumping and dressage events, so be sure to catch one of the weekends! Events will also include another car show, this time with more lights to see all the classic and exotic cars!

Saturday & Sunday, April 6-7
Cowtown Classic Series — This will be the first show in the series and it will be a full slate of AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse and National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) classes. Also a special event for local cowboys and day workers called the Day Working Derby. Classes begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and 7:30 on Sunday. Please visit CowtownClassic.com for more info.

Saturday & Sunday, April 13-14
Florida High School Rodeo — High school competitors from all over Florida compete in rodeo events in hopes of qualifying for the Florida High School Rodeo State Finals. Come out and support the cowboys and cowgirls of Okeechobee and watch the action. Saturday and Sunday performances begin at 9 a.m. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open.

Friday, April 19
Treasure Coast Food Bank will be at the Agri-Civic Center from 8 to 10 a.m. or until product runs out. Use the entrance at State Road 710 only.

Friday, April 19
Friday Night Cruis-In Car Show will be in the south parking lot from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be food, vendors and more lights to see all the hot rods. Please use S.R. 710 entrance only for this car show.

Saturday & Sunday, April 20-21

4-H Area Horse Show — 4-H Equine competitors from 18 counties will be in Okeechobee for the 4-H Area South horse show. The Area show will include WesternRanch divisions, Hunter/Gaited divisions, and Dressage. Show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday & Sunday, April 27-28
Tour of Champions Barrel Race — Barrel racers from all over Florida will compete in one of the largest barrel races held in the state. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open. Exhibitions at 9 a.m., futurity at 11 a.m. open to follow
