Agri-Civic Center hosts events in November

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center, 4601 State Road 710 East, will host the following events in November:

Friday, Nov. 3 - Sunday, Nov. 5
Sixth Annual Okeechobee Extreme Rodeo
Bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing , and other entertainment, vendors, food and more. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m. Online tickets are available at doublekrodeoproductions.com or buy at the gate. Kids 5 and under may attend for free. A live band will be playing both nights after the rodeo. For more information call or text 205-790-3452.

Saturday, Nov. 11 & Sunday, Nov. 12
Sunshine State Drill Team State Championship

Mounted Drill Teams from all over Florida compete. Come out and watch these teams as they perform intricate patterns on horseback. The competition will last all day, and there is no charge for the public to attend. Food trucks and other vendors will be on site both days.

Thursday, Nov. 16
Farm City Week Luncheon
Hosted by the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. Contact the Okeechobee County Farm Bureau for more information.

Friday, Nov. 17
Treasure Coast Food Bank Drive Thru Mobile Pantry

From 8 to 11 a.m. at the 710 gate only.
FFA Judging
FFA teams from Okeechobee and other counties will be take part in a practice judging competition.

Friday, Nov. 17 - Sunday, Nov. 19
Tour of Champions Barrel Race
Barrel racers from all over Florida will compete in one of the longest-running barrel races held in the state. This is the last of six competitions in the Tour, each one held at the Agri-Civic Center. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open.
