Our classes for our 2022 Leadership Okeechobee is off to a good start, and we have our second session on, Wednesday, May 12. Treasure Coast Hospice has graciously offered to sponsor the Wednesday session and we are anxious to hear what they will share about their business during the luncheon. Our Leadership Okeechobee thanks you for your generosity.

Our May Business After Hours will be on May 12, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., hosted by Verizon of Okeechobee, one of our newest members. Khristian Moore, Regional Sales Mgr., and her team are excited to be hosting this event and it will be held at La Mariposa Restaurant located at 202 N.E. Second St., Suite 10. Come and find out all that Verizon has to offer. Mark your calendars and enjoy an hour of great networking with friends and make some new acquaintances. Our events are always open to the public.

On Thursday, May 19, there will be a ribbon cutting for Seacoast Medical Associates. One of our new chamber members is bringing their practice and opening an office here in Okeechobee. We want to help them celebrate with a 5 p.m. ribbon cutting at 1713 U.S. 441 N. Light refreshments will be available, so come and welcome them to our community.

Free Google Livestream - Thursday, May 26 – “Google Boost your Business Growth through Brand Building” Begins promptly at noon until 1 p.m. Sign up online at www.okeechobeebusiness.com. The Google class will be scrolling on the left side of the page, just click on it and register. Seating is limited so register early.

The United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee will host the June Chamber Business Exchange Lunch on Wednesday, June 29, and share exciting news about investments made to support organizations and residents in Okeechobee County. Join Jessica Parrish, president & CEO for the United Way, and members of the organization’s board as they award grant funds to strengthen Okeechobee County and encourage residents to “Live United” through a network of services and partners. Register early. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. and the program will begin at noon. Reservations must be made prior to the luncheon by registering at www.okeechobeebusiness.com look for the event scrolling on the left side of the website, click on it and then look for “register”.
