Deputies earn performance awards

OKEECHOBEE -- Meet Deputy Sheriff’s K-9 Handler Carl Jones and Narcotics Detective Mr. Sunshine. (Narcotics Unit officers' identities are protected.)

Due to circumstances outside of their control, these deputies, who were about to be reassigned, had their transfers placed on hold indefinitely.

These deputies were complimented on their willingness to continue working uniformed patrol, even working with other shifts for overtime without hesitation so those shifts would not run short.

Their dedication, Esprit de corps, through their diverse situation while always staying positive earned them both a very well-earned OCSO Performance Award.
