Easter Poem 2024

Posted

The celebrations have ended, the lights turned off and the trees thrown out at year’s end. But did we pause at all to contemplate the reason for us to celebrate the Divine Birth of Jesus at Christmas?

Now we look forward to celebrating Easter. The reason for the Easter Season is the Cross and the sinless Son of God, Jesus, who hung there, sent by God His Father to bear the sins past, present and future of people of every color and creed, even the sins of this old white fella. But the Easter story doesn’t end with Jesus on the Cross because God raised Him from the tomb and brought Him up to Heaven where He now sits at God’s right hand on high. So at Easter we gratefully celebrate the Resurrection and Ascension of the Holy Son of God, Savior of sinners.

God is still appealing for you to accept His Son as your own Lord and Savior. By accepting Him your new life is beginning and you will live now and for eternity in His warmth and love.

”Glory be to God the Father, and to Christ His Son. Glory to the Holy Spirit, ever One.”

Jesus, Easter, God
