OKEECHOBEE — The Education Foundation of Okeechobee was awarded $5,000 from the Altobello Family Donor Advised Fund of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
The Altobello Family Donor Advised Fund is committed to impacting the teachers and students of Okeechobee. The Education Foundation of Okeechobee is pleased to be a recipient of their funds for the Classroom Mini-Grant Program.
“Our success is dependent on donors like the Altobello Family Donor Advised Fund. We are honored to be a recipient and the funds will bring many innovative opportunities to the students of Okeechobee.” says Executive Director Alaina Barron.
Classroom Mini-Grants is the Education Foundation of Okeechobee’s 1:1 matching program that connects community to classrooms to provide grants that encourage educators to create innovative and exciting opportunities for their students. Through the state of Florida’s School District Education Foundation Matching Grant program, this $5,000 donation will be matched at 100% resulting in $10,000 going towards mini-grant opportunities for Okeechobee’s teachers!
