OKEECHOBEE — The National Day of Prayer observance, sponsored by the Okeechobee Ministerial Association (OMA), will be held on Thursday, May 4 at noon on the lawn between the Historic Courthouse and the Judicial Building. The observance was initially begun in 1952 by President Eisenhower. All aspects of life are prayed for by the OMA members and various community leaders. Pizza and a beverage will be free and provided by the Kiwanis. Come and participate in this opportunity to pray for our wonderful community of Okeechobee. Bring a lawn chair!
