OKEECHOBEE — The Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee held its annual Hall of Fame lunch on March 28 and inducted two members as the class of 2024, Paul Buxton (posthumously) and Courtney Moyett.

Paul was very active in the community serving on the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Masonic Lodge and was a co-founder of Hospice of Okeechobee. As Kiwanis president, he was responsible for the Kiwanis Santa-in-the Park project and donated the sleigh used for many years for pictures with Santa.

Courtney Moyett was the first female president of the Club, and helped complete the playground project at Kiwanis Park. She has served as Key Club advisor and is a member of the Kiwanis Board of Directors.
