OKEECHOBEE — The Multi-Cultural “Ylang -Ylang” Ball was a huge success this week, attended by guests from the Seminole Indian Tribe, Filipino Americans, Chinese Americans , Spanish -Americans , Laos -Americans, African -Americans and Philippine Air Force pilots under training here in the state of Florida . Okeechobee City Mayor Dowling Watford  attended the event and gave an inspirational speech.  Guests wore ethnic attire at the ball which took place on Nov. 12. The purpose of the Ball is to raise funds for the Sports Complex on the property of the Philipne-American Culture Center ( Pickle Ball, Tennis Courts and Basketball Courts ) at 20 acres Site, 5154 SW 16th Avenue , Okeechobee.
