Officer Kelley Margerum to continue as school resource officer at OCA

The contract between the city of Okeechobee and Okeechobee Christian Academy for a school resource officer was approved for another two years. “It seems to be going very well,” said Mayor Watford. Police Chief Donald Hagan agreed and said the police department had active shooter training on the OCA campus this week. Officer Kelley Margerum has held the position of school resource officer at OCA for several years and is well-loved by the staff and students.
