OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee County and the contracted paving vendor, C.W. Roberts Contracted, Inc., have scheduled the County’s annual road paving project to begin on Monday, August 14, 2023 and is expected to be completed by September 2023. The list of all roadways, intersections and road cuts that were approved by the Board of County Commissioners are listed below:
August 14-15
Micco Bluff Road:
• NW 285th Way from NW 160th Drive (mill repair)
• NW 285th Way from NEW JOI NT TO CURVE (mill repair)
• NW 285th Way from end of pavement back 700 feet (mill repair)
August 16
Golf Course
• NE 131st Lane from State Road 441 to end (private golf course)
Evergreen Cemetery
• Road in northern section of cemetery
August 17
Taylor Creek Isles
• SE 29th Street from SE 18th Terrace to cul-de-sac
• SE 30th Terrace from joint at US441 200 feet to new joint
August 18-21
Four Seasons
• NE 70th Avenue from joint at SR 70 to joint at NE Fifth Street
• NE Seventh Street from NE 70th Avenue to cul-de-sac

Note: Roadway striping work will begin following the completion of the County’s Annual Resurfacing (Paving) Project. This project is expected to begin in September/October 2023
Please note that the approved paving schedule may change depending on weather over this expected project time period.
Drivers are urged to take caution and plan ahead to allow for more time to pass through the area as the traffic volume on surrounding streets may be higher than usual.
