OKEECHOBEE — A Quarter for a Cause fundraiser to benefit Debi Cason will be held on Saturday, July 19, the doors will open at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. at the VFW, 3912 U.S. 441 S.
Debi’s husband Goose passed away April 15 and due to her health she had lost insurance for both of them. Her income is low. Goose served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Alaska. The two of them were together for 49 years.
This benefit is coordinated by Janice Pietro. If you would like to make a donation to Debi, call Janice Pietro at 561-310-3285.
Donate school supplies to teachers
School supplies will also be collected to be donated to teachers attend this event to stock their classrooms. Prizes will be donated by Linda from Avon. Up to five chances if you bring five supplies or more.
Event includes 50/50, charity raffles and vendor raffles. It will also be Taco Night at the VFW.
