Resurfacing planned for 2.5 miles of SR 710

OKEECHOBEE – Those traveling State Road 710 can expect delays and road closures as Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans some road improvements to start Sept. 18.

Cost of the project is about $2.7 million.

Project improvements will include:

  • Resurface SR 710 from Interceptor Creek to north of S.E. 67th Way;
  • Guardrail replacement;
  • Signing and pavement markings.

Estimated completion is early 2024.

During construction there may be daytime and nighttime lane closures.
