DAR presents quilt to veteran

OKEECHOBEE — At a recent joint meeting of the Okeechobee Chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Revolution, Michael Achy was presented with a Veteran Quilt in honor of his 25 years of service in the U S Army. The quilt was made by the Queens Quilters at First Baptist Church, and was presented by DAR Second Vice Regent Ruthi Pippin and Vice Regent Lonnie Kirsch.
