Traffic signal to be installed on U.S. 441 at Cemetery Road

Posted
OKEECHOBEE -- Construction will begin in May for the installation of a new traffic signal at U.S.  North and NE 39th Boulevard (Cemetery Road) to enhance safety and traffic flow in the area.

Okeechobee County along with contracted vendor Carr Construction, LLC., will begin the traffic signal installation process on May 14, 2024, with a tentative end date on August 31, 2024.

Drivers are urged to drive with caution and plan ahead to allow yourself more time to pass through the area due to potential lane closures taking place at this intersection as traffic volume may be higher than usual.

Okeechobee County would also like to thank FDOT for their joint participation with this project.

For additional information, please contact the County Engineer: Stef Matthes at Ph: 772-464-3537 Ext. 114; or via email: smatthes@ct-eng.com.
