OKEECHOBEE — The Peanut Butter Challenge has ended. The UF/IFAS Extension Office in Okeechobee COunty collected 1,169.07 pounds of peanut butter which is 800 jars!
The county office beat their record from last year of 919.9 pounds, thanks to all of their 4-H Clubs and partners in the community:
• Okeechobee County Community Development Department was assisted by Lord Farquaad and the Eighties Aerobics Lady. • Barn Raised 4-H Club and Jones Supply teamed up. • Okeechobee Christian Academy collected 441 pounds of peanut butter to donate. • Everglades Elementary Agri Gators 4-H Club collected 87 jars of peanut butter to donate. • South Elementary Eagles 4-H Club participated. • Okeechobee County Human Resources Department • Display at Extension Office made from peanut butter collected by all 4-H Clubs to donate.• Central Elementary Panther Pack 4-H Club collected peanut butter to donate. All of the peanut butter will be distributed to those in need in Okeechobee County.
