Water Supply Plan update meeting is April 30

Posted

WEST PALM BEACH -- The South Florida Water Management District will update stakeholders on the Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan on Tuesday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

NOTE: This meeting is NOT about the similarly named Lower Kissimmee Basin Stormwater Treatment Area, to be built near the Lazy 7 subdivision in Okeechobee County. A meeting about that project is planned for May 2.

The April 30 meeting will be via zoom. Members of the public may participate online. Register online to join the meeting.

The 5-year update to the Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan will assess current and projected water needs in Glades, Okeechobee and Highlands counties and the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Brighton Reservation.
