OKEECHOBEE — Waste Management is resuming collection schedules post Hurricane Ian in Okeechobee County and the City of Okeechobee. Residential garbage and recycling collection will resume on Friday, Sept. 30. WM will temporarily suspend bulk yard waste collection to focus on garbage and recycling.
On Friday, Sept. 30, Wednesday and Thursday garbage and recycling customers should place their containers curbside for collection. On Saturday, Oct. 1, Friday garbage and yard waste customers should place their containers curbside for collection.
Residential customers are permitted to bring their household garbage (no storm debris) directly to the landfill at no Charge through Friday, Oct. 7.
