Samuel “Sam” Allard Allison, Sr.

Samuel “Sam”, age 70, of Starke, Florida passed away on June 8, 2023, in Newberry. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 19, 1953, to the late Milus Allison and Margaret Isabel Fowler Allison. Sam was raised in Bare Beach, Florida and graduated from Pahokee High School. Shortly after school, Sam started his longtime career as a Welder. He certainly found his calling as a Welder, loved fabricating, and even taught welding at West Tech in Belle Glade. When not working, Sam loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the beach. He also enjoyed car racing, rodeos, planting flowers and tending to his yard. Sam had a great sense of humor, lived life to the fullest, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crinda Dale Allison; brothers, Harold, Ernie, Danny, and Victor Allison; and his sister, June Jinkins.
Sam is survived by his children, Samuel (Jolene) Allison, Jr. of Tavernier, FL, Tanya Royal and Ayden Allison both of Chipley, FL; brothers, Milus Allison of St. Clair, MI, Steve (Emily) Allison of Corona, CA, Don (Bernice) Allison of Moreno Valley, CA, and Byrle Allison of Clewiston, FL; sisters, Brenda (Mickey) McGhaee of Clewiston, FL, Rose Beeman of North Port, FL, and Irene Christle of Starke, FL; grandchildren, Austin Kirkpatrick, Clifton Royal, Briella DeHart, Trevor DeHart, and Reef Daigle; along with many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Sam’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
