County honors employees for years of service

OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee County Commissioners started their Oct. 26 meeting by honoring employees who have reached milestones of service.

Pauline Daniel was honored for 5 years of service. She grew up in Martin County and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she earned a Master’s in Education degree. She moved to Okeechobee in 1998 and taught with the Okeechobee County School Board as well as Indian River State College as an adjunct instructor. Daniel joined the Okeechobee County Extension Office in 2018. Among other 4- H projects, she has taken her passion and knowledge of horses to the next level by coaching the 4-H and FFA horse judging teams, which will be representing Okeechobee County at the upcoming Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup in Louisville, KY.

Tiffany Gould, Project Coordinator Capital Improvements, was honored for 10 years of service. Ms. Gould is originally from Western Colorado and moved to Okeechobee in 2006. At 19 years old she began working in the residential construction and remodeling industry. She was the expeditor and purchasing agent when Home Depot was opened in Okeechobee in 2007, and also worked as a veterinary technician at Okeechobee Vet for 5 years before joining Okeechobee County in 2013. Gould started as an Administrative Secretary for Parks & Recreation and was then promoted to Project Coordinator, which is the position she currently serves in for the Capital Improvements Department. In her 10 years with the County Ms. Gould has been involved in many projects ranging from improvements throughout the Sports Complex and County Parks to projects on our waterways and boat ramps
