OKEECHOBEE – Agents and crime scene analysts with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), with the assistance of Okeechobee Sheriff’s Office, were on the scene in Okeechobee County where the human remains of an adult male were found earlier Saturday, Feb. 4.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday morning an agent with FDLE notified the Okeechobee County Sheriffs Office that they had found a decomposed body in the 1100 block of North E. 40th Terrace across from the Agri Civic Center.
OCSO detectives and deputies went out to assist FDLE at the scene where they did find the decomposed body of a male.
The remains have been sent to the Medical Examiner's office and results for identification are expect as early as Monday.
The investigation is active.
