Introducing Kayla Ammons

Posted
OKEECHOBEE -- We want to introduce Kayla Ammons, Detention Support Staff Member of the Year.

Covid-19 affected many agencies with staffing, taking vital people from their positions as they fought being sick. Many for extended times. Kayla became a “jack-of-all-trades,” filling in wherever needed. That meant filling positions that she had never worked prior most of the time.

Kayla did so without questioning why, without hesitation, and always with a positive attitude, despite some complex tasks, even volunteering for other work when she was needed. Kayla was and continues to be an integral part of the OCSO family, and for that, she was awarded the Detention Support Staff Member of the year.
