OKEECHOBEE — Surrounded by friends, family and future coworkers, Judge Jerry Bryant is sworn in as clerk of the circuit court and comptroller by Judge Bill Wallace. Judge Wallace told the crowd he asked Judge Bryant what he should call him now that he is clerk of the court. Historically, a judge is called judge for life unless he does something to disgrace the office. Judge Bryant just laughed and said, “Call me Jerry.”
