OKEECHOBEE – Justin Hazellief was promoted to Deputy Fire Rescue Chief and Deputy Public Safety Director during the July 13 meeting of the Okeechobee County Commission, in the Historic Okeechobee County Courthouse.
Public Safety Director and Fire Rescue Chief Earl Wooten presented the promotion.
“It’s quite an honor,” said Hazellief. He said he is excited about the future of Okeechobee County. “I am happy to be a part of it,” he added.
Commission Chair David Hazellief presented the chief and assistant chief with the first Okeechobee County challenge coins.
