OKEECHOBEE — Okeechobee City public works administrative secretary Kay Matchett was honored for five years of service to the city during the Oct. 17 meeting of the Okeechobee City Council. Public Works director David Allen spoke about Matchett's service and said she is the first person the public sees or speaks to on the phone, and she represents the city well.
