Meet Uniformed Patrol Deputy Sheriff Jessica Bunting

Using her own money, Deputy Jessica Bunting purchased a basketball goal for some children whose Christmas gift was stolen.

OKEECHOBEE -- Deputy Jessica Bunting was working on a portable basketball goal theft during the Christmas holiday. The victims were two children that were obviously upset while their parents were making the report since the family did not have the funds to replace the basketball goal.

Deputy Bunting took it upon herself to go and order a replacement, using her own money and delivering it to the family, not telling anyone about her great act of kindness and selfless act.

It was not until a supervisor overheard her telling the story to one of her friends at a local event that the incident came to light.

For her dedication to the meaning of community policing and caring for the community and her selfless act, OSCO was very proud to present Deputy Sheriff Jessica Bunting with the OCSO Performance Award.
