OKEECHOBEE -- Meet Uniformed Patrol Deputy Sheriffs Buck Jolly & Albaro Arana.

On March 25, 2021, an armed felon had just been involved in a shooting where he shot into an occupied dwelling fleeing the scene as Deputies Arana and Jolly caught up to him. A pursuit ensued throughout the rural area of Okeechobee and then into Highlands County.

The pursuit was ended in Highlands County just before reaching US-27. Deputies Jolly and Arana were crucial in the apprehension of this armed fleeing felon. Because of their actions, this armed and dangerous felon was brought to justice.

We are proud to award Deputy Sheriff William "Buck” Jolly and Deputy Sheriff Albaro Arana the OCSO Performance Award.
