Narcotics task force takes down suspected drug dealer

Nipper was charged with the sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a house of worship.

OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee Narcotic Task Force, SWAT, and DEA executed a probable cause narcotics search warrant on Thursday, August 12. The target location was a residence located at 1200 SE Fifth.

Kenneth Michael Nipper was booked into our jail charged with the sale of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a place of worship and possession of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a place of worship.

During the subsequent search of his residence, a loaded syringe of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition were found.

We want to assure our fellow citizens that we continue to hear your complaints and appreciate the tips on these cases.

Our partnerships formed with you and agencies such as the DEA will continue to send the message that we will not accept drug traffickers in Okeechobee County.
