OCSO volunteer retires

OKEECHOBEE — It was a bittersweet feeling  at the Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Noel E. Stephen, Major Michael Hazellief, Volunteer COP Capt. Colleen Hollett and Cpl. Jack Nash stood for one last photo together as they gathered to say goodbye to Volunteer Capt. Colleen Hollett.

Colleen started her career as a volunteer with the OCSO Citizen Observer Patrol over 20 years ago and was one of the first volunteers when the unit was formed. Colleen massed thousands, that's thousands, of hours giving back to our community and now has decided to hang up her bars and relax a bit, moving to be closer to her eldest daughter in Orlando.

Please take a moment and thank this incredible woman for the years and countless hours of service to our agency and community.

Okeechobee will undoubtedly miss you, Miss Colleen; we will work for sure!

Remember, it's never goodbye, Just an "Until I see you again."
