Okeechobee man is killed in rollover accident

OKEECHOBEE - A 43-year-old Okeechobee man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday, April 5 at approximately  6:30 p.m.   The man was traveling eastbound on Northwest 240th Avenue, heading towards U.S. 441. For unknown reasons, his pickup truck left the roadway and  overturned several times, He was ejected from the truck and  succumbed to injuries caused by the ejection. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Florida Highway Patrol is ivestigating the accident.
