OKEECHOBEE -- With the NFL draft just a few days away, and Okeechobee native Evan Neal predicted to be a first round pick, area school children got in on the excitement with a poster contest.
The grand prize was pizza and a visit from Evan!
Class winners were:
Cupcake Party winners were Mrs. Patience Washington's Class.
Individual winners who received Walmart gift cards were:
“Seeing all these posters made my day,” Neal posted on social media.
The contest was open to students in grades K-12 and was open to posters from individuals, groups and classes.
The NFL Draft community watch party is planned April 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Okeechobee Agri Civic Center, 4601 State Road 710. The party is free and open to the public. There will be food, a gaming truck, football drills, photo booths, face painting and DJ.
