Woman faces multiple drug charges

OKEECHOBEE — After a lengthy undercover operation, members of the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force & Special Response Team (SRT), the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) served a probable cause narcotic search warrant on the residence located at 4369 S.E. 21ST Court, Okeechobee, Florida, on Friday morning, Jan. 19.

During the search, SRT contacted Jessica Williams, 48, the sole occupant of the residence, who was taken into custody.
 
The search of the home amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, along with firearms, that were found throughout the residence as well.
 
Williams was charged with multiple counts of narcotic-related charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, and possession of a controlled substance (prescription pills).
 
Williams’s bond will be set at first appearance due to the new state of Florida bond schedule.
 
After arrest, Williams was found to currently be out of jail on bond for possession of methamphetamine from a recent arrest, which will also be handled at her first appearance.
