James Andrew Vavra

Okeechobee – James Andrew Vavra died March 20, 2024. He was born August 26, 1941 in Yankton, South Dakota. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. A resident of Okeechobee for 45 years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving and caring man.
Mr. Vavra was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pauline (Vinquist) Vavra, and his siblings.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Gisela Vavra; sons, Tony Vavra (Shawna) and Brian Vavra (Linda); three grandchildren, Sarina, Alyssa, and James Dean; and six great grandchildren, Brage, Beckett, Bowden, Alivia, Maverick, and Layla.
No services will be held at this time.
